Diamonds Christmas 2023 Trends

We know, it’s not even Halloween and we’re already talking about Christmas! However, we know here at Voltaire Diamonds that the most wonderful time of the year is also one of the most stressful. Getting an early start to the Christmas shopping can put your mind at ease – no running out on Christmas Eve to Grafton Street this year.

For Christmas 2023 we wanted to ease you into the gift giving mindset, and have compiled this blog to give you a layout of what jewellery has been trendy this year and to hopefully give you some options for the perfect gift under the tree this holiday period.

Eternity Rings

The big turnaround we have seen this year is the return to multistone eternity rings. Eternity rings are often the go-to present, as who doesn’t love another diamond something to add to the collection. In particular there has been a love for four and five stone eternities.

A trendy take on a classic eternity band is the vintage style multi-stone. A recent design in 2023 was a baguette and round off-set diamond ring, a bespoke made design that we fell in love with. This is an example of a ring that can be tailored to your taste – why not a round and pear? Or a princess and baguette?

Bracelets

A tennis bracelet is another timeless piece for an extra special gift. Diamond tennis bracelets have a simple design, yet they are nothing short of beautiful. Every year we see tennis bracelets being gifted and every year we hear nothing but positivity back about them! A tennis bracelet in it’s simplest form is a row of fiery round diamonds, most often in 18k white gold setting. While the classics are classics for a reason, a different style of diamond bracelet could be the one for your loved one.

Earrings

A classic gift under the tree is a pair of diamonds earrings. You can’t go wrong with them!

As lab-grown diamonds have risen in popularity so has our demand for lab-grown earrings. The classic look of a Round Brilliant stud stays in trend, and a lab diamond allows the carat weight to grow while staying in budget.

We have been seeing a rise in different cut of studs. A beautiful option we found ourselves with was a Radiant cut earring, which is still classic and timeless but also unique. To keep your gift unique you can go down a variety of routes.

Why not match a stud to your loved ones engagement ring? Be it an all yellow gold princess cut or different, we can bespoke make a piece that they will cherish forever.

Earrings, we find, are a great gift as they can be worn daily without the larger worry of wear. A classic stud or even a pair of diamond-set hoops suits everybody and can be set aside for big events or worn during the 9-5.

Gemstones

While birthstone jewellery has always been an option, in 2023 we found that gemstones were in high demand. All the gift ideas above can be adapted to match a birthstone!

A beautiful example we had this year was a three stone right-hand ring, with a beautiful emerald as the centre stone. The uniqueness of birthstones makes all jewellery made with them especially personal.

While diamonds are our specialty, we consider gemstones just as important. A rising trend has been pairing the birthstone of partners together, or even celebrating your children with their birthstones! Due to the availability of gemstones, we can source them for any manner of gift.

A sapphire pendant, an aquamarine ring even a ruby earring! These are all options to be considered, and we know that no matter what you choose we can work with you to create a most special gift.

Vouchers

Another option for Christmas this year is perfect in it’s simplicity – a voucher for Voltaire Diamonds.
